Melinda J Watman, BSN, MSN, MBA
Melinda J Watman is the President and Founder of Bariatric Surgery Consulting Group, LLC. Through her work in healthcare and business she understands the complexities, confusion and conflicts involved when making serious life-altering decisions. Using her knowledge, she has created the BSCG Process© – a logical, direct and focused decision-making model to guide clients through the initial stages of determining whether or not to go forward with bariatric surgery. She also provides additional services once that decision has been made.
Central to the success of BSCG is the commitment to an open, nonjudgmental and honest atmosphere. Discussing weight is among the most sensitive and personal topics one confronts and knowing the person leading those discussions is compassionate, empathetic and attentive to the client is of the utmost importance. Melinda understands this firsthand and is dedicated to providing a safe environment which clients rarely find when discussing this issue.
Ms. Watman received her BSN from Duke University, her MSN from the Medical University of South Carolina and her MBA from Boston University. Her clinical focus was in women’s healthcare and her business expertise was in leading companies through the process of launching new products. With each, a common thread exists – the need for consultation and guidance when making major decisions directly affecting the individual or business as well as those indirectly touched by the decision.
